What pilots get in GA Customs
Coming back from Canada, Mexico, the Caribbean, or anywhere else, it helps you find a customs airport and plan the first landing. South Arrival: if you are coming from the south and you do not have an overflight exemption, the first landing has to be a designated airport. Those airports are the CBP list in 19 CFR 122.24. From Canada or the north, you do not need that permit, and there is no designated list. User-fee airports come from 19 CFR 122.15. Always confirm with the airport. Hours and procedures come from U.S. Customs and Border Protection. Always verify with CBP before you fly.
